There was so much hope that the French government were leading the way in the regulation of #Crypto and #Blockchain. But it seems once again that they will shoot themselves in the foot by over-taxation or mis-taxation! WGP Global’s view is that in the post #Brexit World the competition between different jurisdictions is going to be intense. One of the battlegrounds is going to be taxation. 30-35% in this environment is not going to work and so people and assets will move into lower tax environments. French Parliament has rejected most of the crypto-related amendments to the 2019 finance bill which were expected to ease taxation.
